Review: Gone Country

Gone Country
Gone Country by Lorelei James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this one a bit more than the others in the series because it seemed more focused on the development of relationships than just the sexy times between the H/h. Not saying that I don’t enjoy said sexy times, because they are super hot.

Anyway, this story was well rounded. It showed the love growing between Gavin and Rielle, the growing relationship between Gavin and the McKays, including overcoming the resentment that an adopted child may feel, especially in this particular situation, it shows parents raising and dealing with their children, it showed the effects that divorce takes on the kids that get caught in the middle, it has ton of friendship, first love, lost love, teen angst, etc….

I felt closer to this crazy McKay family than I have after reading all of the other books combined. Ms. James pulls you end, gives you the hea you crave, and still leaves you wanting more.
