Review: The Hooker and the Hermit

The Hooker and the Hermit
The Hooker and the Hermit by L.H. Cosway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A first for me by both authors, and boy what a lovely surprise.

I will admit that I didn’t know what a hooker was, but I knew right away it didn’t refer to Annie. I had to go online before reading to find out which sport had a position with the name. I didn’t read anything about this book except the title before starting it. I just thought that the title itself was kinda quirky, so in that case I would give the book a try.

So exceptionally glad I did!!!

Annie was a breath of fresh air. I don’t remember the last time I have read a character exactly like her. She knew that she was pretty or even beautiful, or at least that others saw her as such, but she was by no means jaded and she never used that beauty like a weapon. That wasn’t something about herself that she put forward. She actually went out of her way to hide it. She has realized like most of us need to, that beauty is fleeting.

Ronan, I loved him, just as much as I loved Annie. He was so open with his wants, desires, and feelings when it came to Annie. There was never any game playing on his part. Annie and the readers knew right away what Ronan wanted. He never made any bones about it.

The story was laugh out loud funny and unexpectedly sexy as all get out.
