Review: Coming Undone

Coming Undone
Coming Undone by Lauren Dane
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The saving grace for this book for me was Irene, Elise’s daughter.

I know that is a strange way to start a review, but for the most part, especially in the beginning, I spent a lot of time rolling my eyes at the dialogue. Irene was a very precocious little girl, but she was also a breath of fresh air.

As for the rest, the love scenes were cheesy and I would have loved this entire book more without them. That being said this story was more emotional for me than I remember the other book being. Elise’s story is a bit close to things that I have seen happen or have experienced myself and the author did a good job dealing with those issues.

If some of the dialogue and the sex scenes would have been better, I would have definitely given this book a higher rating. Here’s hoping the next one will be better.

  1. Same for me with the sassy dialogue. So glad Irene was there gave it some playfulness that it would have been lacking otherwise.
