The Dark Highlander (Highlander, #5)The Dark Highlander by Karen Marie Moning
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As I have said with the previous books in the series, I usually reread the series every year. I guess I should actually say all of KMM’s books every year. I love to get reacquainted with the characters when I am anticipating her next new release.

Every time I read it, I find something new or maybe something that I may have forgotten, so it never gets old.

I love this series, but this book in particular. Not only because Dageus and Chloe has some of the most amazing chemistry and that Karen really knows how to write love scenes that make you melt, but also because we got more Silvan. Silvan is my favorite character in the entire series and he is why I love Drustan and Dageus’s stories a little more than the others.

This book also reintroduces Adam to the series, since he wasn’t mentioned in the previous book, and it paves the way for his story.

The Dark Highlander was indeed more dark and gritty than the previous books in the series, but it was better for those elements.
